We just finished family home evening and it was a blast! My husband is a self-employed arborist and his busy season is starting, so he doesn’t always make it home for FHE. Tonight, he missed dinner and the FHE lesson but made it for the activity, which was three kinds of bubbles!

Even if you have older kids, are empty nesters, or have no kids at all, bubbles are just plain fun. I keep different kinds in my FHE box at all times. Right now I have a tiny bottle, a medium-sized bottle, three bubble wands, and a half gallon of “bubble juice” to refill the containers with.

It was so much fun to hear my little girls giggling as they blow bubbles in my husband’s face. They blew bubbles for each other to pop and they blew bubbles at me, too. At one point, my husband and I crossed elbows and tried to pop bubbles as a team, which turned out to be much harder than I anticipated, and my kids got a real kick out of it.

We had Strawberry Blender Ice Cream for a treat, which takes all of three minutes to make, and we all loved it. (That recipe is in the “FHEasy Food and Treat Ideas” pdf that I offer people who contact me and tell me how they use or share FHEasy.)

It was great! I hope you, too, enjoy …

Happy Home Evenings!
