halloween-3-tips Halloween is tomorrow! My kids have been looking forward to it for months. And it’s a little crazy around here.

But FHE is FHE and this year it lands on Halloween.

Now, normally, I don’t correlate my FHE lessons with Halloween. I mean, I guess I could kind of connect it to the idea of ancestors and use my Memorial Day lesson from FHEasy, but it’s never really felt like what I wanted to do, so … there you have it. I don’t connect my FHE topic to Halloween.

But what to do when FHE just lands on Halloween?

Here are my top 3 tips:

  1. Decide if you want to do FHE on a different day. If so, plan it and don’t back out. The reason I sent this post out on Sunday was in case you decide you want to do FHE today and not try to fit it in tomorrow.
  2. If you are a We-do-FHE-on-Monday-night-come-hell-or-high-water-or-Halloween type of a family, GREAT! FHEasy makes doing home evening practical and do-able, even on Halloween. As always, just pick a lesson, open the book, and go to it.
  3. If you are planning family Halloween activities after dinner (trick-or-treating, anyone?), that IS your FHE activity. Keep your lesson short, don’t expect too much, and remind yourself that CONSISTENCY COUNTS!

Happy Halloween Home Evening!
